Open Gaming Schedule for 8/28 at PaD
FGSNC News
Gail writes:

This is the schedule for our open gaming day at Pair A Dice.

12pm: Open Gaming Begins
1pm: Call of Cthulhu the LCG (gail)
3pm: Hunter: the Vigil (shawn)
5pm: Munchkin (tyson)
7pm: Game of Thrones (james)

Of course, there will be other tables open, so if you are not interested in the scheduled game, you are, of course, welcome to play another game that interests you.

Pair A Dice has a wonderful selection of games behind the front counter that can be borrowed for in store playing. So if you are not playing CoC, feel free to check out the selection and get something else going.

Please also keep in mind, there is another game being played that day that is not affiliated with FGS, who will be taking up one table, with the rest being reserved for FGS, so lets all be respectful and courteous of the other players there.

Also note the earlier start time of 12pm. The store closes at 9pm, so to get in a good day of gaming, we elected for the earlier start time. Hope to see everyone there! All are welcome to come and join us for a day of fun!

Review: Munchkin Quest
FGSNC News

Tyson wrote up a review of his new purchase: Munchkin Quest here in the Reviews section. Please feel free to add your own comments, we should try to build up a repository of review information if we can. I find that I value the opinions of people I know more than reviews by strangers (like on BGG).

Open Gaming nights
FGSNC News
Paul writes:

Welcome everyone! Currently the FGS has been meeting every Friday night in Oceanside. (for more information PM Paul) We are currently speaking to our friends at Pair-A-Dice Games to have an Open Gaming Night on a specific Saturday night every month (i.e. every 2nd or 3rd Saturday evening) Once we come up with a schedule we will let you know and it will reflect on our events calendar as well as on Pair-A-Dice Games event calendar.  If someone wants to bring/play a certain game on any open gaming night one only needs to post what it is they want to play and number of players that can join in.  We will also try to showcase different games when we can.

Regards,

Paul

It looks like trying to clean up spam posts during the data import was a bad idea. I did a fresh import of all records and it looks like the forums are working fine now. Thanks for your patience.

Forum Problems After Site Upgrade
FGSNC News

I upgraded the site today to a newer platform for better security and spam-bot protection. However at this time the old posts aren't showing up when you click on a topic so I'm working on resolving that now.

Welcome to the FGS of NC
FGSNC News
Paul writes:
Welcome Neighbor,

Paul, Rick and I decided we would create a gaming society or club to continue to try and promote and grow the gaming culture in North County. With all of us being fanatical gamers we are very concerned that with the impending closing of our favorite local game store Pair-A-Dice Games and Comics that the gaming culture would be adversely affected as many of us would have nowhere to play. So we decided that we would take up the fight and do our best to promote and gather friends together to continue what Pair-A-Dice Games and Comics has done faithfully for many years which is bring people together through gaming. So we raise our flags in salute to persevere and make sure no gamer is left behind and no game is left un-played. So tell your friends and watch our site for our first game day is coming soon.

We look forward to meeting you upon the field of imagined battle as companions or perhaps opponents regardless we salute you.

Thanks,

Shawn
